Most filters comprise a pump mechanism and some sort of intake tube, but the BeFree is neater, its design being both simpler to use and more compact. The only downside that I can fathom would be that it works best to suck through the drinking nozzle to get the water, so really (especially in Covid times) you need your own device rather than sharing.

Overall, this is one of our favorite on-to-go systems because of how naturally water flows through the body of the filter to your mouth. We even drank from this bottle just around the house because it wasn't cumbersome or annoying to use. Anyway, I’m feeling healthy for the first time in ages so I’m looking forward to lighter evenings and cold sunny morning rides. Easily clean the EZ-Clean MembraneTM by simply shaking or swishing the filter in the water - in the field or at home. I carry this 600-milliliter soft flask as a part of it, because I can fill up more of my other bottles that I generally carry, two soft flasks in a running vest. I would assume that as it gets used a lot, the membranes start to clog and some may burst under pressure, letting it pass dirty water.

I take thousands of photos, hundreds on each trip, so picking out ones that best reflect each trip is difficult! It keeps you from getting what I consider to be the thing that seems to be most common in our community: giardia.

You can purchase just the filter and screw it onto a wide array of wide-mouth soft flasks available on the market, or purchase it with a 600-milliliter or one-liter soft flask. You can try to squeeze water through and put it into a larger storage bottle, but that takes a little more time and energy.
